Club M Youth Mentoring Program with the Burlington Community School District awarded as certified program partner with Iowa Mentor.

Club M Youth Mentoring Program with the Burlington Community School District in Burlington, Iowa has been recognized as a certified program partner status with Iowa Mentor. This is the highest designation of two that Iowa Mentor awards youth mentoring programs in the state of Iowa and the only certified program in Southeast Iowa.

Club M is a one-on-one youth mentoring program that matches K-4th grade students in the Burlington Community School District with High School Peer Mentors and matches 5-12th grade students with volunteer community mentors. Mentors and they type of mentoring matches that are supported by Club M vary depending on the type of match that best suits that needs of the youth and his/her parent. Club M consists of school-based peer matches that meet on school grounds over the course of the school year or community-based mentors that meet either on school grounds or in the community. 

Burlington Community School District’s Club M program is certified and a program in good standing by the Iowa Mentoring Partnership, a state of Iowa government program and division of the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service. We adhere to the standards of the Iowa Mentoring Partnership as a quality program and uphold the evidence-based benchmarks established by the National Mentoring Partnership called the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring™, Fourth Edition.
